Funeral Memorial Service

Celebration of Life Services

One family visited Grandma Brewer every Sunday after church. They told me this story, "We would spend the afternoon talking, playing games, and eating too many sweets. When it came time to leave, Grandma would always wave goodbye. This was part tradition and part safety because Granmda B lived on a hill, and there was one of those little country roads that was barely a lane and a half wide. People would race by her house doing 45, and if you were leaving, it could be a mess. She would make sure no cars were coming and wave us on, and we would honk as we left."

The Brewer family kept up this tradition, and we watched everyone leave the Villa while we waived at them, and they honked as they drove away.

Grandpa Gallagher always had everyone leave their shoes by the door. It didn't matter if it was hot, cold, dry, windy or rainy. He didn't want people bringing the outside to the inside! After he passed away, the Gallagher family wanted to honor this tradition, and we had nearly 100 pairs of shoes and boots outside our door that day! Some of the guests that had never been to Grandpa's house didn't really understand, but the family really appreciated it, and the sight of all those shoes brought a big smile to Grandma's face. It was really something.

MEMORIAL SERVICE IDEAS

Funeral or Cremation memorial services are very personal, unique experiences. You want to take time to remember your loved one, and allow a time and place for people to share their memories and stories. This can be an opportunity to focus on their lives and have a lasting memory for the future. At Feragne Villa, we want to take this time to honor the traditions of your loved one and family in whatever way we can. We are prepared to make nearly any arrangements that are required, and that we can host within or around our facility. We'll work with you to use vendors of your choosing, or we can also identify vendors that would meet your needs. A few specific ideas are included below that might serve as a starting point for planning your memorial services.
